Ha-Lo Offices & Shure Technology Annex
Harbour was selected for the Design-Build team to construct a cutting-edge corporate office facility for HA-LO; designed by Helmut Jahn. The 260,000 SF facility was designed to include an atrium, floating skylights, 100% raised flooring, and is enclosed by a structural glass curtain wall system. The project was awarded both the DBIA (Design-Build Institute of America) – Project of the Year Award along with the AIA (American Institute for Architects) – Distinguished Building Award for 2000-2001.
After managing the complicated construction process so well, Harbour was also awarded the Design-Build contract for the current tenant, Shure, Inc., when they decided to expand the facility and add on a Research and Development Annex. This complicated facility featured a complicated acoustical design for testing Shure Microphones, including a “Sound Proof” room. The Annex facility also won DBIA Design-Build – Distinguished Building Honors for 2004 – 2005.
Harbour served as the project’s design-builder and worked successfully with Murphy Jahn Architects in constructing this award-winning building.
