OVERVIEW
Design-Build for a Cutting-Edge Office
Harbour was selected for the design-build team to construct a cutting-edge corporate office facility for Ha-Lo, designed by Helmut Jahn. The 260,000 SF facility was designed to include an atrium, floating skylights, 100% raised flooring, and is enclosed by a structural glass curtain wall system. The project was awarded both the DBIA (Design-Build Institute of America) “Project of the Year Award” along with the AIA (American Institute for Architects) – Distinguished Building Award” for 2000-2001.
Facility Expansion with Soundproof Room
After managing the complicated construction process so well, Harbour was also awarded the design-build contract for the current tenant, Shure, Inc., when they decided to expand the facility and add a Research and Development Annex. This complicated facility featured a complex acoustical design for testing Shure Microphones, including a “soundproof” room.
