OVERVIEW

Butler National Golf Club was built by Harbour in 1972. Butler is an exclusive private, members only golf club located in Oak Brook, Il. Renowned golf course architect George Fazio designed the 7,523 yard course with par at 71. Harbour ran with Fazio’s vision and with a short span of two years the club was open and home to the PGA Tour’s Western Open until 1990.

GolfDigest refers and ranks Butler National Golf Club: “Not flashy, but tough. This is pure golf from the first tee to the 18th green. It is a true and fair test to the scratch golfer, and an extremely difficult one at that. It does not let up in challenging all the skills; distance, accuracy, finesse and even the mental aspect. It can take a golfer out of their swing comfort zone.”

100 Greatest History: Ranked since 1975. Highest ranking: No. 21, 2007-2008. Current ranking: No. 45
