Ice Rink Construction Excellence in Darien, IL

Harbour served as developer, designer, and construction manager for the Darien Sportsplex. This popular multi-use facility houses two NHL-sized ice surfaces and two indoor field surfaces. The building also houses a pro shop, concession stand, locker rooms, and multiple meeting rooms.

To successfully meet the budget and usage requirements, Harbour utilized a fast-tracking process to ensure the ice arenas were ready for the start of the hockey season.

The successful design-build of the Darien Sportsplex has become a footprint for athletic facilities throughout Chicago’s suburbs and has helped several youth organizations grow their programs, helping keep the area’s youth active and having recreational fun.

Harbour looks forward to working with various public agencies to bring state-of-the-art facilities to their municipalities through public/private ventures similar to this case.
