Railroad Construction for BNSF
We began servicing the rail industry more than three decades ago by assisting in building the largest inland logistics port in North America, Logistics Park Chicago, for BNSF. The project has also been coined “The Joliet” Arsenal” and “Deer Run Industrial Park.”

The project team included CenterPoint Properties as the project developer among Harbour, who served as the job’s overall program manager. Harbour also provided construction management and general contracting services for the BNSF Railway 621-acre intermodal auto-rail yard.
- Consists of 2,200-acres with a total build-out capacity of 17 million SF of light industrial and office space in Elwood, Illinois
- The property was previously owned by the U.S. Army and housed the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant, which produced ordinances for the U.S. Army until its deactivation in 1977
- BNSF 621-acre intermodal auto-rail yard
- 37 miles of new rail lines
- 124 Intermodal acres developed
