The Village of Romeoville is proud to announce the much-needed Animal Control building. The 1,865 square foot masonry building will be fitted with prefabricated wood trusses and a metal standing seam roof. Which will house an office, a designated quarantine room, a separate room for cats, a grooming station, and 9 dog kennels (two for large dogs). Each of the kennels is designed to allow access to an exterior kennel (fenced in) via a controlled doorway. All the exterior kennels are accessible to a large fenced-in fully landscaped green space to allow adequate amounts of exercise while the animals are being housed. The project is expected to be completed and open for occupancy in June 2018.
