Harbour Contractors was the Construction Manager for the 32,000 SF Oak Brook Municipal Complex project, which consisted of renovations to the existing facility and demolition/new construction of the old fire house. The new facility is the serves as a municipal, police and fire department complex.

Oak Brook Public Library

Harbour Contractors, Inc. served as Construction Manager for the Oak Brook Public Library project. The 26,000 SF library was completed in 2002, simultaneously with the Oak Brook Municipal Complex project.

 The design of the library is geometrically unique in that it is circular in plan with a serpentine perimeter, which is hexagonal in geometry. Due to the uniqueness of the design, the building has a sunscreen required to reduce the solar loads, which cantilevers out from the perimeter wall. The construction of the exterior features horizontal lapped cedar siding combined with aluminum and glass. Finally, the main feature of the library is its fabricated steel frame dome ceiling.
