Junior and Senior Estimator

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop conceptual and hard bid estimates from $1 Million to $100 Million
  • Manage multiple projects in the estimating and bidding stages of development
  • Develop bid strategy with estimating staff and management
  • Perform quantity take offs and unit pricing.
  • Subcontractor qualification, bid solicitation and bid review
  • Develop CPM schedules, project phasing and site logistics plans.
  • Coordinate and assist project management with sub contract scope review and awards.
  • Effectively communicate estimates and project concerns with estimating staff and management
  • Creative value engineering and cost analysis
  • Compile and analyze data on all factors that influence costs materials, labor, location, etc.
  • Clearly and effectively present estimates to the Owner / Client

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Project Management or a related field preferred
  • Excellent PC skills including knowledge of MS Office, Primavera P3 / Suretrak
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of local subcontractor base
  • Highly organized / strong attention to detail, ability to function independently and intuitively
  • Demonstrates effective leadership and influencing behaviors
  • Willing to continually learn and adapt to new methods and situations

Senior Estimator - 5-10 years of commercial general contractor estimating experience. Ability to take a project from scope review to final bid submission. Strong conceptual estimating and value engineering skills

Junior Estimator - 1-5 Years commercial general contractor estimating experience. Work with estimating staff and management to further develop estimating skills.
